Palabras Útiles en Inglés: Stuff

Hey this is Joel from In this lesson, I want to talk about a useful word to make you sound more fluent and more natural when you’re speaking in English.

The word is stuff – S-T-U-F-F. Stuff is plural. It’s like saying, “cosas.” So don’t add an “s” at the end. Don’t say, “stuffs” – just say “stuff.”

I’m going to go over some example sentences.

“I’m going to the store to buy some stuff” – “Voy a la tienda para comprar unas cosas”

“There’s a lot of stuff on the bed” – “Hay muchas cosas encima de la cama”

“You have to buy a lot of stuff to go camping” – “Necesitas comprar muchas cosas para ir a acampar”

Well, I hope that this word was helpful for you and that you can start using it and sound a little bit more natural when you’re speaking in English. But remember, this is an informal word. If you’re at a business meeting or an interview, you might not want to say “stuff.” It’s just kind of more casual conversation.
