Palabras Útiles en Inglés: Homework

Hey this is Joel from In this lesson, I want to talk about a word that you probably already know, the word “homework” – in Spanish it’s “tarea.”

It’s an easy word, but a lot of the time people will say, “homeworks” with an “s” at the end. But that’s not right because “homework” can already be plural. You can say, “I have homework” – “Tengo tarea”

So, I want to make sure that you don’t say “homeworks” – homework. Alright, now I’m going to go over some example sentences.

“I have a lot of homework” – “Tengo mucha tarea”

“I don’t like doing my homework” – “No me gusta hacer mi tarea”

I could say, “I have a lot of homework from that class” – “Tengo mucha tarea de esa clase”

“I don’t want to go to school because I didn’t do my homework” – “No quiero ir a la escuela porque no hice mi tarea”

Alright, so “homework” – “tarea.” It’s easy. Just remember, don’t add an “s” at the end.
